Active immunization against diphtheria and tetanus in accordance with the Protective Vaccine Program. Primary vaccination: children with contraindication for pertussis vaccination. Revaccination: children who received a full course of primary vaccination (DTP or DT).
Composition:
0.5 ml of the preparation contains not less than 30 IU. diphtheria toxoid and not less than 40 IU tetanus toxoid.
Action:
Combined vaccine with strong antigenic properties, inducing or enhancing active immunity against tetanus and diphtheria. The vaccine is made up of purified and concentrated diphtheria and tetanus toxoids, which trigger the production of specific antibodies and activate mechanisms that allow the formation of immunological memory. The immunizing properties of the vaccine are enhanced by the adjuvant action of aluminum hydroxide. The protective effect is obtained after all doses have been applied in accordance with the Protective Vaccine Program.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the vaccine. acute febrile illness (mild infections are not a contraindication to administering a vaccine). Chronic diseases during the exacerbation period (in these cases, the vaccination should be performed after the exacerbation of the disease). Thrombocytopenia or neurological disorders after previous administration of tetanus and / or diphtheria vaccine. In the event of contraindications to the administration of a diphtheria vaccine, only TT should be given; in case of contraindications to administering tetanus vaccine, a D. vaccine should be given. If there are any contraindications for DT vaccination - Diphtheria-tetanus adsorbed vaccine, the risk of administering the vaccine should be assessed against the risk of infection.
Precautions:
In patients undergoing immunosuppressive or immune deficiency therapy, the response to the vaccine may be reduced. In this case, it is recommended to postpone the vaccination until the end of therapy and to determine the level of antibodies after vaccination. The risk of apnea and the need to monitor respiratory function for 48 to 72 hours should be considered when administering primary vaccination doses to very premature premature babies (born ≤ 28 weeks of gestation), especially for those with signs of respiratory immaturity. Due to the significant benefits of vaccinating this group of infants, vaccination should not be withheld or deferred. The vaccine contains thiomersal as a preservative and therefore allergic reactions may occur in the vaccinated child. Make sure that the child has or has known allergic reactions and have any health problems after previous administration of the vaccine.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Not applicable - preparation for children.
Side effects:
Nervous system disorders: rarely headache (symptoms usually disappear after 24 - 48 h). Respiratory, thoracic and mediastinal disorders: apnea in very premature premature babies (born ≤ 28 weeks of gestation). Gastrointestinal disorders: rarely gastrointestinal disturbances. General disorders and administration site conditions: redness, painful swelling and itching, lymphatic infiltration (most often in people who have been vaccinated repeatedly); rarely: excessive sweating, chills, increased body temperature, feeling unwell (usually after 24 - 48 h); extremely rare: subcutaneous nodules - cocci, with the possibility of transformation into aseptic abscesses (kernels that do not disappear within 6 weeks may be the result of the development of hypersensitivity to aluminum). Immune system disorders: rarely signs of hypersensitivity.
Dosage:
Deep subcutaneously or intramuscularly (in the deltoid muscle or the anterior part of the thigh). Primary vaccination: 3 doses of 0.5 ml given at the turn of the 3rd and 4th century, in 5 months (6 weeks after the first dose) and 16-18 months (11-13 months after the second dose). Supplementary vaccination: 1 dose 0.5 ml in 6 years. If vaccination is not possible at 6 years of age, the vaccine should be given at the age of 7. For children over 7 years of age, the Td vaccine should be used. After the vaccination, the child should remain under the doctor's supervision for 30 minutes.
