Active immunization against typhoid fever according to epidemiological indications: mass vaccinations in epidemiological threat, individual vaccinations in high-risk groups (municipal services workers and going to countries where typhoid fever occurs endemically).
Composition:
1 dose (0.5 ml) contains not less than 5x108 and not more than 1x109 inactivated typhoid bacilli.
Action:
Vaccine against typhoid fever, containing typhoid fever killed by formaldehyde (Salmonella typhi). When administered as recommended, it induces or enhances immunity against typhoid fever by stimulating specific antibodies and creating mechanisms of immunological memory. A full vaccination course increases resistance for several years.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or vaccine excipients. acute infections with fever; mild infections are not a contraindication to administering a vaccine. Chronic diseases during the exacerbation period; vaccination should be carried out after the disease exacerbates. Pregnancy and lactation. Do not give to children under 5 years of age and people> 60 years. In case of any contraindications to vaccination, the risk of administering the vaccine against the risk of infection should be assessed. Do not give intravascularly.
Precautions:
Vaccination should be preceded by a medical examination and an interview about general health and previous vaccinations and reports of adverse events that could have been caused by them. Provision should be made for immediate treatment in the event of anaphylactic reaction following vaccination. After the vaccination, the patient should be under the doctor's supervision for 30 minutes. In patients undergoing immunosuppressive or immunodeficient treatment, the response to the vaccine may be reduced - it is recommended to postpone the vaccination until the end of therapy and to determine the level of diphtheria antibodies after vaccination.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Vaccination is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
Side effects:
There may be reactions at the injection site: redness, painful swelling. Very rare: headache, increased body temperature, feeling unwell. Symptoms usually disappear after 24-48 h.
