Composition:
1 tabl contains 50 mg of Pyridoxine hydrochloride. The preparation contains lactose.
Action:
Pyridoxine - vitamin B6 - is a coenzyme of many enzymatic changes, including participates in the transformation of proteins (transaminations and decarboxylation of amino acids), in the process of neurotransmitters formation: serotonin, DOPA and γ-aminobutyric acid. As a coenzyme of glycogen phosphorylase, it increases the concentration of Glucose in the muscles, and δ-aminolevulin synthase is involved in the synthesis of hemoglobin. Symptoms of pyridoxine deficiency include nausea, vomiting, inflammation, and damage to the skin and mucous membranes, mental disorders, convulsions, microcytic anemia, and polyneuritis. Pyridoxine is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. It is changed in the liver and is excreted in the urine.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to pyridoxine or any of the excipients. The use of levodopa without a peripheral decarboxylase inhibitor.
Precautions:
Avoid exposure to light during treatment. Due to the lactose content, do not use in patients with galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or malabsorption of glucose and galactose.
Pregnancy and lactation:
During pregnancy, the product can be used in the 50-200 mg dose range. At higher doses, the preparation should only be used if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. Do not use during breastfeeding - therapeutic doses can inhibit lactation.
Side effects:
Application of about 200 mg for 30 days causes the occurrence of the pyridoxine addiction syndrome. Taking higher doses over several months may lead to neuropathy (reduced feelings of touch and temperature, disturbed sense of vibration and position).
