Advice from the excellent doctor - prof. dr hab. med. Andrzej Danysz
Motto tips: Naturally, natural medicine generally does not aim for any causative action, eg it does not remove microbes that cause infectious diseases. Above all, he mobilizes his own defense forces of the system.
Natural methods for the treatment of colds
A common cold is a very common disease, with relatively less severe symptoms, usually not serious (usually not life-threatening). It is a good example of a disease that is self-mediating, i.e. not requiring a doctor's visit, and at most a pharmacist's advice. Mostly treat acute symptoms such as sore throat, runny nose, cough and others. In the past, it was thought that natural medicine uses vix meticatrix naturae, or the natural "recovery" forces of the body. Currently, they are defined as ways of stimulating the natural immune (immune) processes of the body.
Before the cold develops
It can be prevented using the hydrotherapy: foot bath in water with increasing temperature from 37 to 42 ° C, with addition of powdered mustard. This bath evokes prolonged congestion of the legs with a feeling of warmth and relaxation. Although the mechanism of action of this treatment is not clear, it is assumed that by reflex occurs congestion twarzo-skull następowymi wzmożonymi defensive reactions.
For a sore throat
The sore throat, in addition to the washing and disinfecting sucking tablets, it is advisable to steam inhalation - with the same water, mineral salt solutions, infusions of certain plants, for example. Camomile flower, which clearly improves the therapeutic effect. You can do them at home, using a pot (a pot) with hot water (60-80 ° C). Bend over the dish, cover the head with a towel and inhale the steam for several minutes. After the treatment you should stay warm for at least a dozen or so minutes, wrap the scarf with your neck and do not go outside.
Fever is not a characteristic symptom of a cold
The most common is subfebrile (temperature does not exceed 37.5 ° C). According to many opinions, this fever has a beneficial effect on combating infections, including cold ones. The slightly lifted temperature of the body increases the efficiency of self-cleaning of the nasopharyngeal nasopharynx. It also stimulates the activity of phagocytes - cells that "devour" foreign bodies and bacteria. Of course, too high and long-lasting fever is not beneficial and should be combated.
Physical therapy in combating fever
Cold compresses and wrapping of the legs are especially advantageous, which results in a clear cooling of the body. At the same time, the cold stimulus tones the circulation. However, it should be remembered that in the case of cold limbs it is necessary to insulate them first and induce hyperemia of the skin of the legs. It is also adhered to cold baths (25 ° C).
When the cold is severe, we do not use cold compresses
In the acute state colds, fever constituting the background, are triggered by certain toxic substances (mediators colds), which support rhinitis, throat and bronchi. Hydrotherapeutic treatments do not inhibit the production of these substances. Therefore, aspirin (polopyrine) and paracetamol are considered to be reasonable, remembering that aspirin should not be given to children, paracetamol is better.
PRINCIPLE OF STRENGTHENING IMMUNITY
Weakening of immunity hinders natural treatment
Common complications such as chronic bronchitis and paranasal sinus are prolonged or sometimes occur. These symptoms indicate that the body reacts vigorously to infection. It should therefore be stimulated.
Thermal stimulation of immunity
There are different ways to increase the reactivity of the system. The simplest is the use of heat, but it is difficult to find the right intensity of the thermal stimulus. Too strong can cause very dangerous consequences. The heat can be in the dry form (hot water bottle, electric cushion) and moist (warming compresses, hot compresses under the oilcloth, partial baths or paraffin wraps). Hot (hot) compresses of chamomile flowers and other plants are often used, as well as hot wraps with mashed potato. In inflammatory conditions of the paranasal sinuses, the electrotherapeutic treatments are used.
bubble
A very effective means in chronic bronchitis, besides of course expectorants, are the bubbles. Simply put, we can say that we distinguish ordinary (glass) and Chinese acupuncture (infallible) bubbles. Both types cause reflex congestion of organs located under the place of use of the bulb, innervated by the same groups of nerves. In addition, the bulb always involves subcutaneous blood leakage, which, when absorbed, acts stimulus on the immune system (in a similar way also works intramuscularly injected own blood - this is called autohemotherapy).
Cold and acupuncture bubbles
Resistance to cold diseases
Post-mortem rehabilitation
The goal is to improve the condition, and thus increase the resistance to colds. The method of rehabilitation may be a proper strengthening diet, herbs that prevent the recurrence of infection, ito. (look below)
Repetytorium of natural healing methods
By natural medicine we mean using for treatment the funds from our natural environment and methods (treatments) imitating the processes occurring in nature. Natural medicine that we can use for prevention against colds (and flu) includes balneology (hydrotherapy treatment), hydrotherapy (hydrotherapy treatment), climatotherapy (phytotherapy), phytotherapy (treatment with herbs), diet treatment, acupuncture (treatment with the use of special needles for specific parts of the body), acupressure (pressure of specific areas of the body), chirotherapy (pressure of specific areas of the body with fingertips), etc.

PRACTICAL COUNCIL ADVANCES AND GRYP ?
Stay warm
Cold or cold is not a direct cause of cold, but it weakens the immune system. Staying warm when you are cold or suffering from flu allows the immune system to concentrate on the fight against the disease.
Rinse your throat often
• A small teaspoon of salt dissolved in warm water - four times a day.
• A large spoonful of dried raspberry leaves, two cups of boiling water, one small teaspoon of honey. Soak the leaves in boiling water for 10 minutes, strain the water and add honey to it. After cooling to room temperature, rinse the throat. The liquid can be stored in the refrigerator for three days.
• A few drops of sage extract - dissolved in a large spoonful of warm water - gargle four to six times a day.
Infusions and extracts of herbs
In the treatment of influenza, as well as acute colds associated with bronchitis, health infusions or water extracts from herbs such as:
• Echinacea coneflower (also known as Echinacea), which stimulates circulation and the immune system,
• medical sage, improves circulation and antiviral activity,
• thyme, thins mucous secretions in the bronchi, which facilitates the deformation and relieves coughing attacks,
• Chamomile - reduces temperature, has anti-inflammatory properties,
• without black - acts diaphorely, relieves symptoms of influenza,
• lanceolate - protects mucous membranes, relieves cough reflex, thins mucous secretions, inhibits bacterial growth and has anti-inflammatory properties
Drink a lot of warm liquids
They dilute mucus secretions, which may prevent the formation of secondary bacterial infections. The traditional remedy for a stuffed nose is hot herbal tea with a small spoon of honey or hot tea with honey. However, it should be remembered that tea contains caffeine, whose consumption should be limited during the disease.
Drink so much that your urine is transparent
During cold or flu, drink at least eight glasses a day.The best fruit juices, infusion of herbs / flower camomile, lime, elderberry, etc./ or ordinary hot water. If your urine is still yellowish, it means you have not consumed enough fluids.
Breathe in a couple - that is, take medicinal inhalations
Add 3-4 drops of eucalyptus, pine, rosemary or thyme oil to four cups of boiling water. Put a towel over your head and inhale the steam for 10 minutes. Repeat inhalation 2-3 times a day.
Eat light foods that are rich in delicate plant fibrils
The weakened body needs food rich in easily digestible proteins (white meat, fish, broths) to regenerate the infected and destroyed by the mucosa epithelial cells. Low-calorie boiled vegetables rich in fibrin (carrots, beets, etc.) as well as vitamins contained in them are beneficial for health.
